A serape (or sarape) is a long blanket-like shawl, often brightly colored and fringed at the ends, worn in Mexico, especially by men.


Saltillo is the capital of the Mexican state of Coahuila and is famous for it's brightly coloured woven serape blankets. They are so colourful and vibrant and can be used as a picnic blanket, beach blanket, throw and in many more decorative ways.
