Seeds - Chile Piri Piri

PIRI-PIRI is a Swahili word meaning ‘pepper-pepper’ referring to any variety of chilli. However in Portugal the name is associated with a variety of C. Frutescens, known as a small fiery hot chilli.

Portuguese traders carried the seeds to their African colonies of Angola and Mozambique and from there they spread across Africa.

Piri Piri are hot, with a touch of sweetness and measure 50mm long by 5 mm wide, ripening from green to red when mature in upright clusters. The plant grows to a height of 85cm.

Seed count varies ranging from 10-20 seeds per pack depending on supplier - please call ahead for confirmation.
