One of the most famous of hot chiles, the Habanero (Capsicum chinense) is a prolific producer and is used fresh or dried in sauces, salsa, chutney and pickled.
Pods are dark green ripening to red, 50mm wrinkled lantern shaped fruit is borne on a short spreading plant.
