Tejate is a non-alcoholic maize and cacao drink originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. Made exclusively by women, using virtually the same ingredients and methods employed over millennia. It dates to more than 3,000 years ago.
A deliciously refreshing and quite fortifying beverage.
Directions: disolve 2 tablespoons in 1 cup (250ml) of water and mix. Add ice and sugar to your preference.
Ingredients: toasted corn, cocoa, agave (mamey) seed, cocoa rosita.
