An all time favourite sauce by Marie Sharp. Green Habaneros are combined with Nopal Prickly Pear s, truly one of a kind and one of Chile Mojo's absolute favourite sauces.

Marie Sharp’s sauces are made from the finest habanero peppers grown in Belize, crushed down to make the base for each hot sauce. This is evident when tasting one of the sauces as the texture is thick, with chunks of habanero, creating an explosion of flavor in every bite.

There are five different heat levels: Original Mild, Hot, Fiery Hot, Green Habanero and Beware. Whether you are crazy about eating the hottest foods or someone that only likes a little heat, Marie Sharp’s has a sauce for everyone to try.

Produced in the fertile paradise of Belize.

Ingredients: Nopal Prickly Pears, Green Habanero Peppers, Onions, Garlic, Salt, Caye Lime Juice, and Vinegar. Ingredients: Nopal/Pricky Pears, Green Habanero Peppers, Onions, Garlic, Salt, Key Lime Juice, and Vinegar.

Where'd It Go?

Fresh and unusual with none of the usual garlic/smoke/vinegar notes of standard hot sauces. Not terribly fiery and as a result it ends up on everything all the time. A week after delivery the bottle is half empty. Yikes!

Unique flavor

Quite a sweet and thick hot sauce. I love nopales and have even grown them for my own consumption, this is the first and possibly only chili sauce on the market with nopales in it. Good on ham or chicken sandwiches

"An all time favourite sauce by Marie Sharp"

... but not in my book. I like a sauce with reasonable body rather than some runny wimpy stuff that suggests warfarin has been added. But the gloppy consistency of this one doesn't do it for me. Yes it has its own flavor, which we'll agree to call an acquired taste. That said, I reckon nopales were not meant for hot sauces in the first place.
