Tapatío is produced in Vernon, California and share's a similar story to the famous Sriracha sauce. "Tapatío" is the name given to people from Guadalajara, and when Jose-Luis Saavedra moved to California in 1971 he found there was no hot sauce available so made his own.
There is only one Tapatio flavour which hasn't changed since it's inception. Still made by the same family that created it nearly 40 years ago, TAPATÍO is a unique and well-balanced blend of red chiles, garlic and spices. The Saavedras family say it will never change.
Ingredients: Water, red peppers, salt, spices, garlic, acetic acid, xanthan gum and sodium benzoate as a preservative.
