By the metre oilcloth.  1.2m wide and cut to order.  Since oilcloth doesn't fray, you can cut into a circle, round the edges, use to make placemats, aprons, use it under highchairs to catch spills, as a protective liner in your cupboards and drawers or for any number of funky crafts.

Great for outdoors or everyday use inside.  Resistant to water and staining, simply clean with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, it will maintain it's like new appearance. 

Once clean and dry, it's easy to fold away to store.  Just lay oilcloth in the sun to remove storage creases.
