Seeds - Chile Manzano Red

A wonderful cold tolerant chile which can be grow in frost prone areas and still perform well. It grows quite tall and will need support when mature. The fleshy apple like fruit will grow to 6cm and can be stuffed.

The species name, pubescens, means hairy, which refers to the hairy leaves of this pepper. The hairiness of the leaves, along with the black seeds, distinguish this species from others. As they reach a relatively advanced age and the roots lignify quickly, sometimes they are called tree chili. Of all the domesticated species of peppers, this is the least widespread and systematically furthest away from all others.

Approx 85-100 days to harvest.

Seed count varies ranging from 12-30 seeds per pack depending on supplier - please call ahead for confirmation.
